Weighing vehicles, trailers and caravans
Mindarie Regional Council (MRC) is the operator of a fully licensed public weighbridge at its Tamala Park waste management facility. This means that you can get an accurate measurement of the weight of your car, caravan or trailer.
Certified weight service ($35)
If you require a weight certificate for registration or legal purposes, or you require a weight reading for your business, our certified weight service can help.
The cost for this service is $35 per certificate.
For example, if you have a vehicle and trailer which need to be weighed, they will each require their own certificate and will be subject to two fees.
You will need to show our staff your registration and VIN number, if applicable.
Notes for customers
To avoid congestion and to keep traffic flowing freely, council waste vehicles (rubbish trucks) have priority across the weighbridge at all times. It may be necessary to wait a short time while we clear any priority traffic before we are able to weigh your vehicle. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

As you enter Tamala Park, follow the road directly ahead of you to the weighbridge.
The weighbridge is split into an ‘up’ and ‘down’ lane, with the weighbridge office in the middle. We can only weigh your vehicle at the ‘up’ lane. Keep to the left and drive slowly onto the weighbridge.
Exit your vehicle and stand on the yellow platform on your right. The weighbridge operator will weigh your vehicle and take your payment. You can then return to your vehicle and exit the weighbridge.
Follow the blue line around to your right, making sure to give way to oncoming traffic. Be extra careful around large vehicles and remember, site vehicles and machinery always have right of way.
The weighbridge staff will open the boom gate and you can then drive back towards the exit.
For trailers or caravans, you will need to unhitch on the weighbridge. Carefully drive your towing vehicle forward until it is off the weighbridge and then return to the yellow platform. Once your trailer or caravan has been weighed, carefully back up onto the weighbridge and hitch.
