Operations Administration Officer
Mindarie Regional Council (MRC) is one of Western Australia’s biggest waste management authorities, providing a comprehensive waste disposal service to local government authorities and residents in the Perth Metro Area.
The role:
The Operations Administration Officer is an integral member of the operations team and contributes to the MRC strategic objectives. This position provides administrative support to the team, has strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Salary and benefits:
Full time permanent, salary $78k to $81k (depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant) plus benefits which include:
- Up to 18% Employer contribution Superannuation.
- Full time, 76 hours per fortnight.

Selection criteria:
Qualifications
- Formal Qualifications in Office Administration or equivalent.
- Experience in a local government (desirable)
- Knowledge of the waste industry (desirable)
Essential requirements:
- Sound knowledge of business administration
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient level of Microsoft Office applications
- Working knowledge of safe working practices and Work Health and Safety.
- Sound experience working with organisational procedures
- Working knowledge of contracts and workflow processes
- Knowledge of government procurement processes
- Experience utilising an Electronic Document Records Management system
- Ability to conduct research and share knowledge
The council maintains a strong Wellness Policy with all staff subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
